A
word on the editor

My
name is Claudia Caputo and I am Italian.
I moved to London in 1989 and I am
now living with my partner in Bedford, UK.
We have 2 daughters, Sophia who was born on April the 1st 2001 and
Mia who was born on the 1st May 2003.
I have always had an
interest in computers,
I work in the Data Processing Department of a Market
Research Company and
when I stumbled upon an HTML manual at work I immediately
decided to try and build my own web site.
Now all I needed was an inspiration for the topic of my newly found hobby ...
Following Sophia's conception and birth, I became a very active participant
on an internet forum,
and I soon discovered that a lot of new
mums have difficulty cooking for their young babies,
mainly due to lack
of time and ideas.
Having grown up in a rather typical Italian family where both my parents were, and still are,
very competent in the kitchen,
I consider myself a decent enough cook.
Us Italians love good, traditional, freshly cooked food too much,
and we see our mums (and dads) putting together delicious family meals every day twice a day from when we're babies!
I decided to try and collect recipes which are
suitable for babies from 4 months to all ages, easy to prepare, tasty, nutritious
and healthy and make them available to anyone that wished to try them out.
The recipes are mostly mine, or taken and adapted from other recipes,
I'd describe them as Italian with some British influence!
It has proved a very
satisfactory hobby so far, and I have received many emails of support and encouragement.
The fact that a lot of people (both newcomers
and re-visitors) visit
Baby Spoon daily has kept my interest alive,
so I am
constantly adding new recipes in order to offer a better service and make
sure there's a recipe
for all tastes and needs.
Thank you for
taking the bother to find out about me.
